The Daily Stoic for June 27th. Adversity Reveals.

There is a quote from James Lane Allen that says “Adversity does not build character, it reveals it.“
Are you prepared for the difficulties ahead? Or are you just riding the tide, letting fate decide what will happen?
For example, a financial emergency happens.
Do you have enough savings to handle it? Do you have an emergency fund? How about life insurance?
If you have a positive answer for the above questions, it shows your character.
It shows that you have prepared, that you made some sacrifices by saving money to prepare for the future.
But if you don’t have a positive response for above, it also shows your character.
Maybe it’s time to look into yourself on how you want to handle the future.
When you are prepared, you can still adjust and bounce back. Else, it might be too late to turn it around.
A big problem will come into your way. It’s not just a matter of if, but when will it happen. When that time comes, what will your character say about you?
