One of the key things you can do to improve your life is to prioritize and dedicate time each day to your personal development.

Personal development allows you to become better overall as a person.

What’s good is you don’t have to spend a lot of time to be able to improve yourself.

What’s important is having the daily habit of improving.

Even if you improve only 1% daily, by the hundred day, you are already 100% better.

One technique that you can do for your personal development is the Miracle Morning Life SAVERS.

Miracle Morning Life SAVERS

The techniques here are coming from Hal Elrod’s book The Miracle Morning

If you are having challenges waking up early, you can refer to my previous blog here.

Let’s start!

The first "S" of SAVERS

S is for Silence.

For some of us, how we describe our mornings include chaotic, stressful, and no control.

Others might describe it as slow and lazy.

I think these are some of the common description of how our day begins.

When you think of your morning, which of these scenarios best describe your morning?

Typically, mornings are hectic and rushed. Upon waking up, we are already on the go, trying to cope up with the things that we need to get done for the day. When this happens, it can seem like you are not in control of your life anymore.

Silence is one of the best ways to reduce stress, and also a good way to increase your self awareness. Through this, you can also gain clarity to help you maintain focus on your goals, priorities, and the most important things in your life.

The author has share some activities to choose from and practice during this period of silence:

  • Meditation
  • Prayer
  • Reflection
  • Deep Breathing
  • Gratitude

A is for affirmation

Affirmations are one of the most effective tools to become the person you need to be to achieve your goals. Through affirmations, it’s like you are brainwashing yourself, but in a good way of course.

When you tell something to yourself over and over again, you start to believe it, whether you realize it or not.

If you tell yourself that you are not enough, or that you can do this or you don’t deserve that, your subconscious mind is going to believe you. And you don’t want that to happen right?

But if you tell yourself that you are the greatest father, you will start to believe it. Your mindset, thoughts, and beliefs would also change.

V is for visualization

This technique is a practice of seeking positive results by using your imagination to create mental pictures of behaviors and outcomes.

Athletes also use this to enhance their performance. It’s like you are imagining what you want to achieve, and in your mind, you are also doing the things you need to do to achieve it.

Start of by closing your eyes and breathing deeply.

Then visualize what you really want to achieve. Don’t be afraid to aim big. The goal here is to put in your what what you really want.

Once you identified what you really want, visualize who you need to be. What kind of person is going to achieve that goal? What does he/she need to do? What habits should be possessed?

E is for exercise

Exercise should be part of your morning routine. When you exercise, it boosts your energy, enhances your health, improves self confidence, and enables you to think better and concentrate longer.

You know that if you want to maintain good health, you must exercise consistently. But it’s so easy to make excuses as to why we don’t exercise.

It’s easy to say “I don’t have time” or “I’m too tired”.

This is the benefit of doing exercise in the morning. You do it before you get tired and find excuses.

R is for reading

Reading is one of the best ways to transform any area of your life. It is one of the best ways to acquire new knowledge, ideas, and strategies that you need to achieve success. The key thing with reading is that you learn directly from the experts. They have already done what you want to do. They have achieved what you want to achieve. Why not learn from them rather than just trying out on your own?

Whatever you want to achieve, there’s a book for it.

Want to get rich? There’s a book for it.

Want to have a great relationship? There’s also a book for it.

Similar to exercise, there are many excuses why one does not read.

One tip to get the habit of starting reading is to just have a consistency of reading daily. Try to target at least 10 pages per day. In a year, you’ve ready 3,650 pages already!

S is for scribing

Scribing is just another word for writing. The author’s favorite form of writing is journaling.

There are different steps/kinds of journaling. You can select whichever you prefer.

Basically, the idea of journaling is putting the thoughts in your head into writing.

This way, you get insights that you might not have seen.

Personally, I use writing to identify the things that I am grateful for.

Having this sense of gratitude, especially early in the morning, makes me feel excited and confident to take on the challenges I have for the day.

Instead of feeling worried at the start of the day, I feel more relaxed, knowing that I have good things going in my life.

Extra Tip

I know, implementing your own miracle moring seems like too much work.

Imagine, you have to do 6 steps everyday, first thing in the morning. Who has the time, right?

Thankfully, you don’t need a lot of time to implement your own Miracle Morning.

6 minutes might all be that you need. You can alot just 1 minutes for each of the steps.

Just imagine how amazing it would feel if you can do your own miracle morning.

I’m sure this can change your life!
